Black and Gold Wrapping Paper

Make your own wrapping paper with FrogTape® Painter's Tape.

Three black boxes with linear gold designs. There is gold garland on either side of the presents and three bulb ornaments (Two red and one green)

Needed Materials

  • Little black rectangular box with strips of Yellow FrogTape Delicate Surface Painter's Tape on it. There is a roll of the tape on the left and the tape canister on the right

    Preparation

    1. Wrap your presents up in the plain wrapping paper.
    2. Using FrogTape® Delicate Surface, tape off random patterns of your choice – do only one gift at a time.
  • Little black rectangular box with Yellow FrogTape Delicate Surface Painter's Tape on it with light colored paint between the tape

    Application

    1. As you tape off the patterns, leave the tape hanging off the edges. Don’t push the tape too firmly down on the paper – you gently want to apply it.
    2. Paint within the pattern. Add glitter if you wish to all or part of the paint.
  • Little black and gold box in the middle of gold garland and three ornament bulbs (2 red and one green)

    Removal

Immediately after painting (don’t wait for it to dry), carefully remove the FrogTape® Delicate Surface. I found the best way to do this was to gently pull one end of the tape up and off while holding down the paper with my other fingers. Continue with the rest of the gifts.
