About the Event:
For years, FrogTape® brand painter's tape has helped transform homes into inspired, personalized spaces. But this winter, the brand will lend its resources, creativity and design expertise to a different kind of inspirational space with the inaugural FrogTape® Love for the Lunchroom cafeteria makeover program.
Benjamin Franklin elementary school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District will receive a lunchroom transformation valued at $10,000, during the holiday weekend of January 17-20, 2014. The unveiling of the new lunchroom will then take place on Tuesday, January 21, when students, faculty and staff return to the building following the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.
FrogTape® has enlisted the help of popular television personality and interior designer Taniya Nayak and construction manager from Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible," Tom Bury to create a one-of-a-kind design for the school. By combining FrogTape® brand's unique products, Taniya's style expertise and Tom's construction know-how, the Love for the Lunchroom program will embrace creativity and celebrate the magical effect a little imagination and hard work can have on a community.
Taniya Nayak's approachable take on interior design has won over everyone from rock stars to first time homebuyers. Taniya's knack for bringing rich textures and unexpected finishes together with practical, real-life functionality has made her a go-to expert for decorating programs on major networks including HGTV and Food Network.
She is currently a part of major franchises on both networks, hosting the HGTV series "House Hunters on Vacation" and as a featured designer on Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible."
Architect & Builder
Tom Bury is the construction manager on Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible." With a bachelor's degree in architecture and master's degree in construction, Tom has been designing and building spaces for more than a decade. His projects range from multi-million dollar public and private sector buildings to private residences and everything in between.
With a well-rounded background in construction, architecture and design, Tom can do it all and is ready to get his hands dirty with the FrogTape Love for the Lunchroom project!
