I recently picked up a chalkboard frame while thrift shopping. I knew it would go in the gallery wall, but it needed a coat of white paint, first. I pulled out the chalkboard center and taped off around the wood using FrogTape®.
In these types of projects where the outer edges of the tape don’t matter, I like to fold them over for easy removal.
Using a small paintbrush, I painted the entire frame white. I will often prime thrifted frames, but this was rough wood and I knew it’d take straight white paint without a problem.
After three coats I removed the FrogTape®.
I put in an image from our recent trip to Sayulita. I love these hearts on driftwood by the beach.
I love fast, easy projects! This beauty is hanging in the dining room and making me smile everyday.
